LASTLY, just because ANNA got support for the cause against corruption, the support should not be misused for other agenda's - Instead the strength and importance of parliament should be explained rather than ridiculing system. ANNA should explain the importance of political process, right as citizens - and warn not just cong but all the parties in politics that if they will be corrupt, such protest is in store, however - such protest is to b last resort and not the first. UPA's apathy deserved this protest but not every future parliament needs this, let parliament be allowed to work in ambit of constitution in favor of people, While Anna can teach people how to be vigil and aware observant over government instead of interfering in govt at drop of h at

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Currently, In the flurry of articles and counter articles erupting, where some are showing legality, few others are referring to angles of culpability against Dr. Swamy and then there are many to support / endorse either the idea of Dr. Swamy or the fundamental right of Dr. Swamy to voice his opinion (while they still may not be concurring to the Dr. Swamy’s idea). The self claimed seculars have yet again polarised the genuine concern of Dr. Swamy, leaving very little room for sensible discussion or understanding and most importantly solving the problem, Islamic Terrorism. The pseudo-liberals yet again succeeded in putting the uncomfortable topic under the carpet and created situation, where in the technicality is been discussed with apologist mentality in general, rather than an attempt to solve the grave problem, Islamic terrorism. The fact is world at large be it Asia, Europe, US or Australia, each and every inch of this scarce land on planet earth has been affected by so called Islamic terrorism, directly or Indirectly, covertly or overtly. The one who denies this fact is either lying or immune to reality or trying to reason out with horrid justifications. But none will have the galls to discuss the issue or how to resolve this Impending issue in front of the world which if not restricted can be a big question mark on the happy existence of peace and world in totality.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">The idea if embraced or raped at swiftness of dropping a pin is always disastrous. This problem holds true for either side and even for those few who were trying unsuccessfully to pretend neutral or immune. The idea of Dr. Swamy’s idea as I can understand was to aim in solving Islamic terrorism’s grave issue for his and for my or rather OUR country, India. As far as his respect to various religions is concerned, his son-in-law is from Muslim community and wife from Zoroastrian / Parsi community. Even if, he has no relation with individual who hails from another community doesn’t make him fascist or takes away his fundamental right to voice his opinion in betterment of his country, where seditious scoundrels go free hand in abusing country right in the capital of India. The pseudo secularist sadly doesn’t know or understand either secularism or hindutva.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Secularism – The idea is pretty old where it was to de-link Church from the administration of state, and nothing more – rest all in humbuk and tom toming to suit the convenience the horrid thinking of bunch, who has this elitist arrogance of holier-than-thou.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">And then there is another idiotic bunch tries to do away with religion (this bunch is not atheist, who has clarity, but this bunch is of confused irrationals). First and foremost to this confused soul who denounce religion as myth, I would like to say - if religion is not to be given importance only on the excuse that it is man-made and nothing divine in it, then the emotion to feel enraged / angered over brutal murder of closed one is also man-made. The emotion of humiliation and anger in the women or her closed one when some nuisance person molests / eve-teases / rapes is also man-made, and there is nothing called as divine doctrine which teaches that ‘how a person should act in certain manner in particular situation’, Hence thrashing religion by terming as man-made is stupid all the more squashing religious faith without having capacity to understand is futile. By the way, the emotions discussed above over the untoward events discussed are in abundance in me, and rightly so, but I also accept the religion to be supreme.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Hindutva – <span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">The word ‘Hindu’ or ‘Hindutva’ as I understand and many believes is beyond the definition of certain –ism. Hindu is much beyond religion. It is also a regional identity and not just limited to certain faith of a world’s oldest sect Hindutva goes a stretch further. Hindu is symbol of centuries old culture and philosophy that took birth and roots in this country, which is not just another piece of land. For instance, an Australian, can be a person who follows any religion of his choice, but he cannot denounce the tag of being Australian. Now coming to narrow aspect pertaining to the Indian pseudo seculars will happily term Ape to be his fore-father, by referring to ‘Theory of Evolution’ but will not go to their history books to understand , Sanatan Dharma – a faith was prevalent many centuries before Islam –ISM and Christian-ITY came in to existence and came to India. Hence proved their knowledge is hollow and discriminative.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Now coming to the main part of Dr. Swamy’s article which aimed solely on eradication of a problem of terrorism ~ Islamic terrorism. None of the pseudo seculars have given a solution or attempted to discuss the issue of terrorism which is erupting on exponential manner. The one who disagrees with the solution method of Dr. Swamy, also can in no logical state deny or disagree to the looming threat of Islamic terrorism. Hence, I am amazed to see these seculars rubbishing the article at drop of the hat, while they are very zealous and enthusiastic in rubbishing the method suggested in the article and not making attempt to offer the alternate method (which I am pretty sure, they are lacking it). The self claimed liberals should first go and think and then attempt to pen down thoughts over how to eradicate this fascism emerging out of Islamism, instead of trying to use camouflage in attempt to sound secular. I will urge liberals / seculars to come out with solid alternate solution for problem which Dr. Swamy has written article on - Islamic terrorism. The technicalities or displeasure which liberals have on usage of certain words can be tackled later (however, I personally don’t see any untoward usage of words been there, yet will give seculars this discount to get opportunity of being heard, But only after they provide solution).

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Finally, what is most clearly evident is the possibility that in hating Hindu faith so much so that the self claimed liberals are not ready to accept something called as Islamic terrorism, for if seculars deny existence of Islamic terrorism, I guess no neurologist can take care of them. Now as far as science is concerned, there is law in physics, which mentions, ‘Every action has equal and opposite reaction’. The pseudo seculars must thank that this law has not been enforced by sensible people over the atrocities enforced on them by this fascist who incidentally belongs to Islam. Also, they should understand that time has come where covering Islamic terrorism is over, Now it’s the action which has to attempted, to safeguard OUR country. The best answer from liberals which is the most idiotic is that, to remove one type of extremism, we should not motivate others, they are rightly so. But Dr. Swamy talks of no extremism. Only the failed secularist tries to package the Dr. Swamy’s article as communalist. When the article is read with neutral and sane mind, one will find very difficult connect something written in it as wrong, maligned or distorted and even offensive. Neither the opposition of conversion is wrong nor is acknowledging the regional identity flawed. Pakistan is enemy and has ulterior motive has to be accepted as soon as possible to secure the sovereignty of India, and every step must be taken under the sun to Protect India’s interest, there can be no “If’s” and “But’s” there. Enough of the nonsense of the liberals who have neither solved the problem nor have brought something better for India. The apologist should be once asked to be quiet and let there be no mincing word in calling what is correct as correct and right as right.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Hence before terming Dr. Swamy’s article as obnoxious, get the basics right and set the priorities in proper order. Dr. Swamy actually identified the problem right and in his capacity he gave solution, which has been right and accepted & hailed by plenty (The sole problem of seculars, as for them to detect problem and provide solution is only their forte). The right thinking Indian will support Dr. Swamy either for identifying the problem or for providing the solution or for both, like many Indians.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">At the start, let me make a candid acceptance that I have been in receipt of reservation benefit under PH3 category, and still I am against the blanket reservation given without merit angle applied to it. I don't demand to absolve reservation but seek merit based reservation, which will not lead merit and deserving student towards hatred of reserved category or worst towards depression and suicide. India being such a vast country and there has been huge population who are economically disadvantaged and for inclusive growth, we need to accept reservation as a ploy, however care should be take again misuse. I would strongly demand reservation for economically disadvantaged, differently able category of people, but no caste based reservation at all. I have consciously not used the statistics or specific examples to discuss advantage or disadvantage of reservation, as we are all well aware about the both merit and demerits. Also the misuse of reservation by politicians across the board is not hidden from anyone, and even the beneficiary knows about it.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Well Reservation should be given, but there is always a system which has to be adhered. Blind and irrational reservation which is motivated by vote bank politics has to be condemned.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Few points which I feel should be considered before giving reservation or devising reservation policy:

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 13pt; line-height: 115%;">1.<span style="font: 7pt "Times New Roman";"> <span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 15pt; line-height: 115%;">Reservation to be given only at initial years:<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 15pt; line-height: 115%;"> <span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Disadvantaged communities / people (Handicaps included) should be given reservation in primary school, as in giving opportunity to build the career, and then subsequent monetary assistance at subsidized interest rate be continued to the economically poor class. Providing monetary assistance to disadvantaged student is much more important to sustain the daily expense while studying, and avoid inferiority complex that can play havoc due to lack of basic amenities.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Giving opportunity at post graduate level is highly meaningless as ignoring merit, instead as suggested earlier, reservation should be given at start and not at the end of the tunnel where delivery on merit should be given importance and nothing more. Finally there should no reservation in seeking job, MERIT AND ONLY MERIT HAS TO BE APPLIED WHILE SELECTION OF CANDIDATE FOR JOB, no half baked measure in economy building. But “no reservation in job” has to be applied only after reservation at the initial stages has started.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 15pt; line-height: 115%;">Explanation for point 1<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 15pt; line-height: 115%;"> <span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">- An economically disadvantaged student getting opportunity at start with financial assistance will be better prepared to compete on merit and will not face inferiority complex at later stage. However, ignoring the merits and graduate or post graduate level affects the eligible student and also affects the output of the economy. This is fact because the reserved category candidate takes the lead over merit. Even if the reserved candidate is capable, the fact cannot be denied, one deserving candidate is denied his due place.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 13pt; line-height: 115%;">2.<span style="font: 7pt "Times New Roman";"> <span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 15pt; line-height: 115%;">The Reservation must be correlated and capped<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">: The reservation given also should not be blanket reservation, but be capped in correlation to the highest marks received in merit category, and only those reserved category candidate to be considered who are eligible in that capped demand. currently, even if reserved category students get just passing marks deserved the place in the school, which is to be abolished and merit oriented reservation should be considered

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 15pt; line-height: 115%;">Explanation for Point 2<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 15pt; line-height: 115%;"> <span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">- Supposedly the course has 100 seats and reserved category seats are 5 within those 100 seats. The highest percentage in merit category received is 97%. The reserved category has to have a lower cut off but in correlation to 97% (highest marks), hypothetically, let’s assume calculated lower cut off for reserved category is 65%. Then only those students in reserved category shall get admission for those 5 reserved seats who have scored above 65%. If in scenario, only 3 reserved category students have scored above 65%, then remaining 2 seats to be awarded to merit category instead of inviting underperforming reserved category student. By this merit students get the opportunity and shall not lose their deserved place to underperformer in reserved category. This system will build in the competition among disadvantaged lot, and shall not assume the reservation as birth right.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 13pt; line-height: 115%;">3.<span style="font: 7pt "Times New Roman";"> <span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Economic Reservation:<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"> There is talk that only one person of family should be given reservation and it should not be passed on to future generation of that family, as that family is already been taken care by being provided equal fighting status. However the idea is highly contentious and controversial, I would propose to abolish caste based reservation. The region based reservation can’t be debated for its inclusion. However only Handicaps and economically poor be considered for reservation, even if the reservation is already given to another member of family.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Having reservation and abolishing reservation are two extremes, where either of the category is at disadvantage, hence we should urge the policy maker to devise the reservation policy in a way that it assists both the category and the reservation as tool cannot be used for vote bank politics.

Rising Gladiatorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06960414887887382274noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7078978919723737706.post-38643920762134196562011-07-15T13:20:00.002+05:302013-07-11T00:41:15.403+05:30My response to Mumbai Attack on CNN-IBN

Yes, He is Master. Rahul Gandhi. I came across, one blog “The only way Rahul Gandhi can revive Congress fortunes in UP” by Mr. Dibyasundar Nayak, where the writer proposes a theory that to win UP and subsequently EARN the post of Prime Minister, Rahul Gandhi and Congress party should declare the aged-youth as UP Chief Ministerial candidate. The premise is, the awe and curiosity facto surrounded to Rahul may win the UP election (very much necessary for any party / coalition who is aiming to come to power at centre) and by that get exposed to working of Indian parliamentary system, get acquainted with active political working and subsequently after effective experience, the aged toddler can grab chair of Prime minister.

I shall not discuss much in detail about his education and other over analyzed stuff, especially because Rahul Gandhi possesses nothing that can be deliberated in detail, neither his wisdom nor his education, neither his work nor his quote. I shall stick to most recent occurrence, which will suffice to state Rahul is unworthy political entity.

To start with, the above mentioned theory has too many assumption and one of the biggest flaw is to assume Rahul is capable PM or even political material. Second big flawed assumption is to draw comparison between UP politics and other state politics, while lack of local leadership in Congress camp of UP is surely a problem, the major factor affecting UP election is concentrated caste based politics played. The fourth assumption which is base premise of this theory of risking Rahul at CM job can be squashed simply by analyzing the reluctance of Congress and Gandhi family to expose Rahul to any parliamentary responsibility and it has been seen of he had being evasive from any cabinet post either in UPA-1 or UPA-2. The interaction and non-existent participation of Rahul in parliament is in itself authenticates him being not sincere to govern the country; rather mother-son duo needs the PM’ship as served on platter.

Also to prove the mettle Rahul need not wait to be CM, he is already a Member of Parliament and has Amethi as his karma kshetra, but he being absolved from responsibility of improving Amethi speaks volumes in itself. Hence, argument that Rahul will prove his political or leadership capability is baseless, for he has failed disastrously to even spend money meant for Amethi.

Along with, the gems he spread by talking non sense just adds to his list of exposing his dumber side. Cong and Sonia will never risk Rahul for CM job for any state, prima facie because Rahul factor works as hope factor cong ground level cadre and a tool to entice voters. The capability is tad different from pretending to be capable. All the antics of Rahul have been seen through and have never received overwhelming success despite media being more desperate then congress to label Rahul as Under Taker of Indian Politics. The risk of Rahul failing despite projected as Chief Minister is so huge that Cong will never muster courage to act in that fashion. In fact BJP or BSP has not done anything, Rahul’s antics itself exposes him, recent example being claim of 70 people killed and women raped in UP and during his pada yatra his stud silence against inflation and sticking to script of abusing Maya.

Rahul needs to have capability in first place and then seek platform to expose it, on the contrary many platforms are been offered but either has rejected to prove his mettle (by rejecting cabinet post and also by not participating in parliament and lastly not an iota of improvement in his constituency of Amethi, where he is MP) OR he has failed miserably in states like Bihar, Tamil Nadu (Where he was star campaigner and even co-ordinator for CONG).

AND TO TOP IT ALL I DONT EVEN WANT TO MENTION HIS SPEECH POST BOMB-BLAST IN MUMBAI. ITS REAL SAD TO SEE SUCH DUMBWIT IS BEEN SEEN AS PRIME MINISTER IN WAITING. HE IS NOT FIT TO BE PEON AT PRIME MINISTER OFFICE, LEAVE ALONE SEEING HIS AS POTENTIAL PRIME MINISTER.

Rahul can at the best be used by CONG as antique object, or funny banner in front of CONG, to attract people. But the moment Congress plans to sell Rahul as a product, the entire shop of Cong will be sold cuz Cong cant risk to expose failure of word Gandhi, which is basis of its existence and relevance in India. Rahul is Just dikhane data of haathi named Congress can’t be used in chewing. Which even congress knows, Finally, It is also known fact that only party that can make Rahul a Prime Minister is not Congress, but BJP (if at all BJP, itself destructs itself and give congress a win on platter, which is highly unlikely, but only possibility of Rahul to be a PM)

But the issue is a bit larger than expected knee jerk solutions. I am not going to get into details of the accusations and attest my validation / authentication that these allegations from most sceptical personalities hold any ground or not. The allegations are personal in nature and individual will / should defend themselves. I advocate just the bill, if there is problem with Bill we should discuss that, ONLY that.

<span style="font-family: "Book Antiqua","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Also important aspect to be remembered is, whom are we (INDIANS supporting IaC) fighting with? Although we are fighting against corruption at ground level from Rs. 50 to Rs.10 lakh crore, from cheat clerk to crook politicians, we must well cement it in our brain, we are dealing with the bunch of people, who can put rhino to shame with the thickness of their skin and we need to admit about their smartness. TO TAKE THE CASE OF THIS BUNCH ONLY EMOTIONS AND MOMENTARY DISPLAY OF UNITY WILL NOT WORK, WHAT WE NEED IS SELF BELIF, TRUST, PATIENCE, FOCUS, PERSISTENCE AND VIGILANCE IN LONG WAR AGAINST CORRUPTION AND CORRUPT.

<span style="font-family: "Book Antiqua","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">CONGRESS and its allies in corruption understand very well, how to beat round the bush and fool us, Indians. They have ruled (not governed) India post Independence for 80%+ time, is no less achievement for them, but utter shame on us, we Indians.

<span style="font-family: "Book Antiqua","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Now let’s be back on Lokpal bill and its controversies around. For the people of INDIA, we need to understand, our life is NOT a sop opera that we need to have twist and turn every 5 minutes or we will get restless in a long struggle. All that is required is, we need to be patient, persistent along with being vigilant. How can our trust in a movement be so fickle that a paid news / dubious person can draw us out from the fight which led us to go hungry for a day or even days and that too for a cause we believed in? The dramatization has made INDIAN life pathetic, this instant solution attitude is nothing but screwing up the foundations.

<span style="font-family: "Book Antiqua","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Media for the un-written commandment from CONGRESS, desperation for TRP and masala entertainment, gives air to shallow allegations and then run their channel for whole day over it. The prime motive is to confuse and divide people. FOR media, koi jeeye ya mare, kuch acha ho ya boora ho – DRAMA must go on at cost of people, you and me – included. Are we so naive to believe that CONGRESS would not have come out with such tricks to derail the government when we supported the movement, (question goes to so-called educated and/or experienced lot). As said earlier, I am not dishing out these allegations as false or even authenticating them to true, for I hold no power, I can just hold my personal opinion. The important thing is demand for bill should not be diluted- THATS IT.

<span style="font-family: "Book Antiqua","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">As of now all we need is to show solidarity to the movement people, and also subtly inform the IaC decision makers that, “WE ARE WATCHING YOU AS WELL”. And we people should also be confident, also that if anything is found truthful these people can be replaced, power is with you and me, hence we shouldn’t be fearful but at same time we can’t afford to be hyper at everything planted in front of us. If we have supported a movement or if we had aspired such movement to save us from corruption, courtesy demands a bit more of trust, if nothing more. The kind of dhamkis / conditions, “DO THIS, else I WILL NOT SUPPORT” has to stop. WE SHOULD NOT BE A PUPPY of CONG’s dirty trick to let the movement derail.

<span style="font-family: "Book Antiqua","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">CONGRESS very well knows, if this movement fails, then it can be rest assured that until next couple of generation they are safe from public anger, as INDIANS will lose confidence on mass movement, because, if movement of such a level cant change than what will? We need to understand - if this movement fails, who will lose and who will gain? - Anna hazare and his gang will not be winner or loser, it is WE INDIANS, whose fight against corruption might lose the steam, and get back into cuccon of "yehi hota hai n sab chalta hai".

<span style="font-family: "Book Antiqua","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">If you have issues with the IaC, Panel, or whatever, then make yourself heard, get heard. IF that is also not possible, start a fresh campaign with smoothening out all the LOOP HOLES. For I can guarantee, people were on ground to fight against corruption, and there is no monopoly over this fight. Why don’t this arm-chair chartlenders make an effort to do good of the so-called mistakes committed in the IaC movement. It’s just like reliance ad – “Yaha advice muft mein milti hai.”

My response is not to counter and/or contradict blog of Harini, but adding my view point to the subject.

The issue of Delhi and crime against women is bit larger, especially when we discuss the safety of a particular gender in a city - Delhi. The points mentioned in the article are more or less similar across India. The situations arising out of bad parenting and/or self convincing interpretation of female's gestures along with not so efficient governance coupled with dragging judiciary are prevalent in all corners of India. Hence the question arise, then what makes Delhi more unsafe then rest especially when Delhi is resident for Prime minister, President, Most powerful political family (Gandhi), score of MP and other so-called high profile people? Well the answer lies within the question I guess. The presence of these pervets has actually been catalyst to increase the crime. However, Politics is not the epicentre of subdued state administration; it is the Power (money, muscle or fame) that is the centre of devastating incidents. The presence of these unwanted VIPS has degraded the machinery to impotency. I will be honest enough to accept, that I haven’t visited Delhi on personal note, but do have friends and other members and with close and long discussion with them (both genders included) have a picture of Delhi in front of me.

Police is no ultra special anywhere else, but the level of inefficiency that has infringed in Delhi state administration is voluminous due to high level hindrance and interference of so called law protector. The idea of getting absolved from crime by calling some MP's or spitting few rupee notes is far more significant. Every girl is not Jessica Lal, rather they should not have a fate of Jessica Lal, but nonetheless her offender did receive punishment ON PAPER (remember parole given by Delhi CM), many unfortunate girls can’t reach to even that extent. Another important point to be pondered is, rape is a NOT just a crime committed by individual or group of individual by forcing intercourse on the female, but it is the entire system who molests the victim by not physically touching but by having apathetic attitude and embarrassing her through ordeal of demonising the victim and glorifying the culprit and the crime. Hence the penalty should be levied upon rapist and also to each and every individual who was in that system that created hindrance to the justice. The supporters of crime, direct or indirect are the real parasites than the one who commits the act of rape, because the criminal thrives in confidence only through support of these scoundrels in the system, be it political, police, media and any other power house.

For pseudo human/woman right activist commenting on rape or rape victim is so very easy and to sympathise with rape victim it’s even more easy and fashionable. But as a society to actually empathize with the victim and to take some constructive steps to avoid it we have hardly any courage to do it and yes I say we including you, me and all others. We hear moral police says gals should not wear jeans or other stuff, we have politician saying if gals wear tight clothes she is inviting for being rape. WHAT SHIT. The idea "Not to rape" is required in the society and not "NOT TO GET raped". Tight clothes or intoxicated gals are no license for heinous crime and also not the character or past deed of women is the free pass.

The Chief Minister of Delhi passed the buck on society to be mute spectator while the crime of death and/or rape is committed, I would not squashed the allegation completely as others did, for I do believe society has to play active role and not be fence sitters. But for society to act there has to be conducive environment to act, which is to be provided by the state administration, independent of political and power gimmicks. The assurance of police helping the whistle blowers and also rendering security to both alert citizen along with victim is imperative as against current situation of cover up and sheltering the culprits. Sheila Dixit allowing parole of Manu Sharma, the culprit on dubious ground and along with inaction on various other cases have developed a kind of apathy in the society and that is real bad. I would also link the corruption in India and especially by the Delhi HQ of government as one of the reasons, for the corrupt will commit corruption and other illegal activities in alliance with dreaded criminals and not with saint who respects society law and discipline. Once in alliance, Politician has to shelter these criminals against the penalty of crime they commit and hence inaction gives confidence to others for repeating such crimes and giving a spiral effect.

I do agree respecting the women is more required then seeking death penalty for rapist, however, if the rapist are been lynched / hanged in 5-7 high profile rape cases and that too quickly, It shall at least to a extent relieve the pressure. To start with Manu Sharma, who enjoys five star stay should be directly hanged and also the machinery that supported his lavish living should also be booked, as for me it’s not one person who rapes by intercourse, but its entire group of people within and outside system molests the girl even without physically touching. - All the above however is with focus to Delhi considering the humongous crime rate despite the catalyst situation remaining synonym to rest of India.

As for reducing the crime rate against women, all the point that is mentioned in your article has to be implemented and quickly with a force. Additionally, victim should be allowed to kill the criminal in whatever manner she thinks is right without mercy petition going to president. And even if victim wants to forgive the culprit, the court should still persist with the case against the rapist and his supporters, as crime is not against just an individual but against society and generation as a whole. But also equally important is to make life easy for gals after that dreadful event, which can be done by not glamorizing the case by media but by providing fast judgment of death without bail. At least this minute steps can be taken along with the broader discussion in the articles mentioned, so as to reduce 0.000001% of pain of the victim and to restrict reoccurrence of the crime but fitting the fear of quick penalty. At the end I would seek, lets the Process BEGIN

P.S : Last but not the least, a real hearty compliments to Harini for her article. It is really worth a read. And somehow I do agree to all your points. Such articles are needed to shake the sleeping society to take action especially because the article is not dipped in sour taste of politicizing (meri kameez aapki ki kameez se safed hai, types) the heinous crime.
really saddening to see that mocking hindu religion, its scriptures and epics is the fashion across the society. Politician’s always used and mocked religions for their vested interest. Left liberal are better not talked about. Media is at best left out from this discussion, as for their petty benefits and to please their masters, journalist have gone to extent of calling Lord Rama as divine encroacher. I am pained to see the one of most trusted wing of democracy, Judiciary have started making statements on individual faith without understanding the matter.<span style=";font-family:";font-size:15pt;" >

The observation that “Dhronacharya had committed injustice on Eklavya by seeking right thumb of Eklavya, so as to benefit Arjuna” is highly misplaced and motivated. Firstly we must understand the respect that is been showered to shree Dhronacharya by Indians as a whole lot and not just Hindus. Dhronacharya award for coaches / teachers in field of sport is considered to be the top most award in the flurry of Bhart ratna’s and Padma shree’s (whose sanctity has been lost courtesy past few winners).<span style=";font-family:";font-size:15pt;" >

Now coming back to the topic of Dhronacharya and Eklavya, let me try and solve the mystery as I understand. The reason for seeking thumb of Eklavya by Dhronacharya was not because of love for Arjuna. The underline message of Dhronacharya was, Knowledge is the wealthiest treasure and no one can acquire it by stealing and/or without sacrificing. It is fact that Eklavya learnt the art of archery from Dhronacharya without the consent of the teacher. Dhronacharya wanted to instill the importance of the teacher and understanding that wealth of knowledge cannot be stolen but acquired after consent of the giver and also after sacrificing something to acquire that wealth. Hence to give lesson to generations ahead and to avoid misleading of students, Dhronacharya took this decision<span style=";font-family:";font-size:15pt;" >

The wealth acquired after hard work sacrificed is cherished and respected. Without the step of Dhronacharya to invoke discipline in students, respect to the teachings and teachers would have been far-fetched dream. The student is been endeavored with a heavy responsibility of being disciplined. Knowledge is treated as blessing of GOD, and stealing of this blessing does invite the wrath. However, I would also like to mention that the above statements in no way demean the passion of young student named Eklavya who wanted to learn the art.

The passion of Eklavya has been guiding light for many students and it has to be used as zeal to learn. However any good intent, passion performed beyond the frame work of discipline has to be restricted. The zeal of Eklavya was not off ill intent or to cheat, but the Decision of Dhronacharya had nothing to do with the caste of Eklavya. Yes caste of Eklavya was reason for not letting him inside the guru ashram meant for royal children, which can debatable, but only after studying in depth the reason for it. The zeal of one person can not be used as proof to demean other person's righteous act.

Superficial reading and commenting on scriptures is STOOPID and not required from any quarters of society. The Supreme court is highly respected and looked institution in India, and hence it has added responsibility to act in the similar fashion and casual and not thought out remark can and shall have repercussions beyond the control of law and create distress among the people who feel that judiciary is only their last recourse after politicians, media and police have failed them. Hence it is my personal request that Supreme Court should desist in remarking on faith without complete knowledge on the subject matter
I hope my this tiny understanding of our scriptures can throw light and pave way to pseudo sickular to mend their ways of mocking one of the biggest gift to the world, Sanatan Dharma<span style=";font-family:";font-size:15pt;" >

<span style=";font-family:";font-size:15pt;" >
Rising Gladiatorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06960414887887382274noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7078978919723737706.post-21057443332065264622010-07-13T22:47:00.009+05:302010-08-15T16:09:01.017+05:30My reply to Mr. Madhvan Narayan (his defence for media)Response to http://tinyurl.com/amitabhmasand: reply of Mr. Narayan to Mr. Amitabh.

style="font-family:georgia;">At the outset, I would like to let you know, Yes, I m fan of Amitabh Bachchan’s acting and no denying to it, But I am no fan of Mr. Akshay kumar or have no ill-bias against you (I hope you know that) or Mr. Rajeev. My reply is purely to the reaction of Mr. Bachchan to “jackass” phrase used by Mr. Rajeev and your reply to Big B.

I would also mention that I have enjoyed whatever little conversation I managed to have with you and would thank you for letting me have that privilege where in I could discuss few stuff with you despite your busy schedule and high profile post that you hold.

Now to start with the reason I am writing you this letter

Media is a very important arm of our democracy and has huge responsibility in our democratic setup and to sustain it. Print media to certain extent has fulfilled it. But electronic media has very mixed and colourful score card.

The rat race started in electronic media which is backed by media houses who eyes only top line / bottom line; profit margins and TRPs have taken the society as a whole to new low. In this entire scenario media cannot take a moral high ground or pass the buck to certain sections of society (film fraternity included). The arrogant nature and close ears with fiefdom mindset of certain media journalist are causing trouble to these thick skinned journo’s in digesting the reaction / reply from the other side of table.

Before dissecting the issue further, I will readily accept your view to an extent that using the illness of legend Shri. RK Laxman is cheap. To this, I will add up that using illness of any human being for cheap publicity is bad, and if human being whose illness is used is an old man then it is worse and if he is celebrity old man, who didn’t receive the care he then deserved, then its crime. Now my question to media is that how on the earth anyone except Akshay kumar and legendary cartoonist got to know about the visit? Isn’t it a plain simple logic Kumar took certain greedy and cheap media guy and video man who with cold heart as that of kumar covered the whole act and also aired it / published it for cheap monetary gains and TRP? And if Kumar is called “jackass” for his act, and that he is called rightly so, than what is the definition of those media people from YOUR fraternity who not only covered this cheap act but also even aired it. And please don’t come out with explanation that media wanted to expose the cheap act because if media had not supported shameful act of Kumar then this publicity stunt would have never been successful. Here again I would put emphasis that media was equally responsible for humiliating the legend as was Akshay kumar. So I request to media please do not take moral high ground or have victimization stand.

There have been cases where media instigated the person to commit suicide in front of camera for cheap TRPs, there are also cases where victim / injured is been covered with cold blood instead of acting in capacity of human to help the victim / injured. The vendetta against Shri Narendra Modi is again one of the best example where he is lambasted by fake news and then there is no courtesy of apologizing even when proven wrong (read NDTV and CNN IBN here, along with few noted journalist). If media stops airing paid news and giving importance to trivial gossips then I guess the above problem would never have occurred. Again, media dug this hole for such low act to get some petty TRP and in a smart manner it accused the user and recipient of this hole. To me the one who digs this kind of pot hole is equally and more responsible.

The trade union mindset in the media fraternity is good enough for someone (especially celebrity) to earn a bad name even without committing equally bad deed. There are times when extra enthusiastic media people infringes the privacy of people (celebrity included) and the basic humanly reaction of the people is scandalized by entire media through groupism. One of the best comparable and recent example, few months back, a camera man violated the security cordon of Indian Cricket team to get few pictures of Indian star cricketers and in that bid he did managed to hit Harbhajan Singh on the forehead, which was clearly visible in the video footage and all bhajji did was react by pushing the camera aside. The entire media except Times Now scandalized as “bhajji man handles media yet again”. Not one TV journo questioned camera man about his violation of security cordon (which is a CRIME), and leave aside seeking apology from the channel for which he worked. 30 minutes non-stop coverage was good enough to take the cheap revenge from bhajji for the act for which he was not even responsible. Again when Hrthik Roshan bashed up media person at Shirdi when the cameramen was trying to infringe privacy of Roshan family inside the temple, did the media questioned this cheap act of camera man & journo’s to follow the people in Temple with the camera and with a purpose to violate the privacy and not to pray? Why is that cameraman given cushion despite committing such a creepy act, what I would define as heinous crime and insulting the purity of temple for sake of TRP of the channel?

If it is agreed for a moment that media does not have trade union mindset, even then for sake of money and TRP’s the channel has stoop so low in its own individual capacity. In the case of paid news, who is to be blamed, only the party or even media, I would reckon media is equally and in fact more guilty for using its mass believing medium for spreading biased news.

Media is the best case where the serial rapist pleads to be victim and then acts as judge to announce the punishment it also claps in group as audience too.

I agree celebrity are equal responsible and even we viewers / audiences also have high share in such crimes for I do believe, the idea which rules society (celebrity / media / layman included) is “jo dikhta hai woh beekta hai and jo ek baar beek gaya woh hi baar baar dikhta hai”. The media is used as tool for cheap publicity and fake news to get score level with one’s enemy or for some monetary gains. The people using media are as criminal as media itself. But larger question is why do media allow all this? Is it for the sake of money? And then why does it take moral high ground when it gets caught. Media should either call itself as entertainment channel / medium or should have disclaimer that “News shown could be affected by the personal and corporate bias of the anchor or channel”.

In all I just want to say that in the current degradation media should not claim to be victim for it is one of the leading culprit. The solution is self-introspection by the media instead of buck passing the fault to every another person.

I am too small in compared to experience I have in front of you, and in case of being offensive with the words and expression I would apologize but the idea and content attracts no apology.

Thanking you

Mr. Jaymin Panchal

(Who religiously reads your tweets and occasionally interacts with you on twitter)
Rising Gladiatorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06960414887887382274noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7078978919723737706.post-79911106417794940132010-05-26T12:44:00.004+05:302010-05-26T12:47:57.144+05:30The hidden darkness of Shinning India.Article written by Ms. Nisha, a real gud read on definition n expectation real INDIAN, connect her at http://www.nisharp.com/ for various topical discussion and expression with garnishing of poems

The hidden darkness of Shinning India.

If I may ask a simple question: Define an Indian? Then I am damn sure that there would be many people who will raise their eyes, make wired faces and than move their mouse to search for my name before going through the page.

What a stupid question? Isn’t it? Even an idiot, living in India can provide a very well defined answer. Agreed! But I would still stick to it. Ok, let me modify it a little for your convenience. Who is a true Indian like-Define?

Come on! We have our answers readily available; perhaps it has been cooked, garnished and preserved like a heirloom. In addition, to keep it fresh we get to revise it frequently from time to time, on 15th August, 26th January or 2nd October.

P.S- The rule of showing patriotism or acting like a true Indian hold true only across border or at the time of any foreign particle /person /entity attack. “For the residents of India” the rule is void.

We, the 120 crores “janta” living in 28 states, 7 union territories,606 districts, speaking approximate 400 languages following 6 major religions with a few sub religion reside in India but do not strictly live for India. Janta know this, unfortunately. YES.

So, Janta do we still count on our pride as an Indian (NRI’s excluded) when we keep on reminding ourselves as an enemy in disguise to our country’s growth, in short to our own growth. I don’t at least.

More than that, I want to vociferate on handful of anti – Indians who call themselves the vanguard of the India’s eroding culture and have taken the sole responsibility of protecting it. How? By vandalizing the property and terrorizing the poor crowd. Also I am Amazed at their own they manufacture the definition of “being INDIAN”. According to this new brand of moral police the people who celebrate Valentine’s Day, or enjoy music at discotheques are equated to be Anti – INDIANS, well well its so rubbish, isn’t it. I along with many friends have celebrated Valentine’s Day or have been to pub and had couple of drinks, but I can proudly say we are more of INDIAN by heart than this moral police brigade. Their Favourite target- the vulnerable women who are dragged, stabbed, beaten, and abused both physically and verbally publicly for being characterless (according to their stupid double standards) and not following the code of conduct. WTF. Who gave them the right to satisfy their umbrage? Who gave them right in democratic country to decide how people will enjoy (that too harmlessly). Why are they too plucky to create chaos fearlessly? Whereas these so called followers of Lord Ram and Lord Shiva can audaciously stand in middle of road with their desi tharra with tilak and danda; eve teasing. Do we question? No. Instead, we set our eyes enjoying the live video footage of such nonsense harrowing incidents with utmost interest. OUR friend, media in return twist and turn it in their most serious and rigorous form, raise its temperature to boiling point, sensationalize it then leave it at the midst in the light of fresher hot news. After all TRP counts! Remember it makes us fool because it shows only what it wants to show, the truth still untouched the reality buried.

We keep on fighting petty grotesque battles with our own compatriots just for the sake of creating a gang of pseudo supporters for our selfish motive. Do we really gain anything except a bit of the ephemeral psychological win? Check your own conscience and the answer is “A big NO”. Right? On contrary, we have been paying hefty price regardless of the fact that by this we fell on our face and start the miles long journey again from the scratch. Nevertheless, we are too adamant to accept the truth. YOU win or I win its WE who loose together – Always. Let it be in name of religion, region, culture, or language. The bloodstain is everywhere. Mother India, are you crying? Who cares! Let me remind you that the bloodshed on the warfront is only justified when the ties across the country are strong and the people belong to the country and not to bits and parts. All heart tune to just one beat- INDIA.

I am sadly sad to say this but if India with all diversities in religion(cricket-mini religion), language, culture, sub culture, caste, sub caste, creed, region, colour (everything of which we proudly brag around in a foreign country) is mixed and made into a cocktail, I am sure the drink would not give any good or sweet but ONLY a bitter taste with no fragrance of “Incredible India”. Pardon me but that is truly true and I am obviously angry on it. We voluntarily bow to another country’s commandments the day we step at the airport but totally delete that sense when we are back. There, we don’t even cough without covering our mouth and HERE we throw a sack full of rotten garbage right in the middle of road. If questioned the absurd answer is same everywhere. “ Pahle se ganda hi hai, tumhe problem hai to tumhi saaf kardo”. There, we pay all taxes fully much before the deadline but here we prepare strategies to save OUR money (sorry hard earned). Dare we break or question them but HERE we are ready with our arguments because we have almost forgotten that we live in a country, we have forgotten the essence of word-OUR. We are ready to “embrace” a new different system but “embarrass” our own. We are proud Indians but only outside our country! Give me one genuine reason why should not I be sad at this and I would succumb.

Get up in the morning and start the day with one or other disheartening issues, which flames the angrier side of me. Be it the rout at gruesome accident stopped for a refreshment break and vamoose for the routine. Be it the murder of senior citizen where no neighbour came for timely help because they were too busy to hear the old couple’s plea. Be it a mendicant small kid at the traffic signal, looking at whose pitiable condition we silently say,”kash main kuch kar pata,” only to forget the next moment. And this holds true for all, be it “chotu” by whose hand all WE revolutionist class of people receive OUR morning tea OR let it be the rowdy behaviour with the women by so called educated professional males in the workplace, If anyone complaint’s even the police say, “who ask you to go and work at night!” Damn. We worship matarani with full gusto but while looking at women we have an evil eye. The newspaper is flowing with shameful rapes, fawning female foeticide, pathetic sex ratio, surprising student’s suicide, miserable child labor, doleful dowry cases and irritating minor girls trafficking. We have not even spared holy Ganges and have literally converted it into a big garbage can and then we dip into it shamelessly asking her forgiveness for our sin. Will she? We are helpless (we strongly feel so) and as usual we are ready with our answer, “saala pura system hi kharab hai, sab ek jaise.” However, we forget we are very much a part of the system and we need to do our share of chores. Do we even heed to our duties, 1%? – No. Have we questioned our self?-NEVER.

Leave the above “reality shows” and there is something that is creating its fear virtually but effectively, the ridiculous menace of social websites. Insane but a good way out to vomit your frustration of rejection or avenge the insult. Psychotics have found the easiest way to flaunt their dangerous ability to harass (punish according to them) and “repay” the person from “friends list” or general strangers to revenge the insult that should be ignored and forgotten. Just because it does not require much effort, these people reach at a click away and skedaddle is too easy until found, complaint and looked upon. Women and children are the favourite sensitive ones who are bullied largely; the obnoxious treatment is on rise and we are in illusion, “come on its for OTHERS will not affect US.”. Now can I rename it as Anti Social Website? Why not?. The hypocrites who shy away from talking about sex in public in name of “Bharatiya sanskriti & saram haya” shun all shames in the dark showing their brutal side. F*** Where does he sell off his conscience when ferociously post the photo shopped obscure pictures or make the MMS clip which in turn is shared by half the city religiously. Why can’t others complain and boycott such malicious deed. If demand cease so does the supply. However, why should they? Because its not our sister, mother, wife. We forgot that disrespect to one is disrespect to all. Still go on killing the women’s dignity, drilling her emotionally, and psychologically. Tell me are we not responsible? Think.

So, is there any field where we are no.1 Yes here it is. In June 2006 in the survey of “The Polite Countries of the world”, we (Mumbai) bagged the award for being the No. 1 but only from the last! Phew! At least here, the rank matters. Let it be tourists, elderly person, vendor, autowallah, or anyone other than we know, are all our enemies. We feel anyone who approaches us with an innocuous question is a die-hard criminal and if we talk politely for few milliseconds, it would directly divide our dignity to half. We are too skeptical. We break traffic rules and argue with the dutiful cops. We try to negotiate, unfortunately, we get it too. Then how on this earth have we any rights to blame anyone but “WE” for corruption. We happily pass this and many more crookedness to our kids too, creating a clone of ourselves that we aggressively wish them to follow. Alas!

Well, The “Sone ki Chidiya(The Golden Bird) is now “The Sleeping bird”. We have drugged her and made her kumbhkaran. It’s High time to get rid of the attitude of, “Sab chalta hai” and come in sense of Pro country, pro people and pro progress.

We-the people are the backbone. We have the full right to question our “servants & representatives” and not to get rid off with our sleeping minds. Can’t we just be The People of republic India and follow the religion “India” first? Do not forget “By the People”. Take one card out from middle of the pile of cards and everything fall to dead. Exactly! In that sense each one of us are that one card. We are not powerful until you use power within us. The fire in us can burn nothing, not even our passion until we use it. I we believe: We have the sense; we are not just mindless big crowd; we are not the lost world, BUT we are the biggest democracy. And then just one more thing is required (I am not telling to go on warfront) and that us the guts to say “No”, say NO to the bribery, corruption, immorality, unethical, injustice, and above all to our beastly greed. Be very much a part of system, instead of choking the line at the basic, push it for the better, and condemn the wrongdoing and doers. Why wait to “wake up” until it directly affects us then to end that virus at the budding stage. Don’t adumbrate, evoke and elicit for a new beginning. In the land of Gandhi, Ram, Krishna, Buddha and Mahaveer, none taught us to suppress our conscience instead; they taught us the way to renaissance. Right! For us the path is far easier if we ourselves put into the small action. After all, it’s drop by drop the whole sea is filled. We are the drop and the beautiful tomorrow is impeccably in our own hands. And lastly we need to pledge to not be the herd directed by someone, Not let few lunatics define us and our Being INDIAN. WTFAt the outset, This blog is written by a Proud HINDU who is Indian first. Also the thoughts presented here are by no means mixed with religious inclination.

“An artist thinks ahead of time.”- Hussain. He is right, I do agree with him. An artist with his thought at higher bar from society always gives direction to society. Leonardo da Vinci, when he painted Mona LISA wanted to convey through smile of lady the kind of mythic embodiment of eternal femininity. He had the message and the reason for Mona LISA painting is still considered to be greatest art. Take another recent example of Taslima, when she should be supported for her idea towards freeing women is something to admire of. Her writings too has message for the society. An art is above all religion. It is to be respected beyond boundaries of religion or ideology. But an artist too has some responsibilities, no TOM, DICK or Harry and Harry’s brother can use art as disguise to project his dirt filled mind.

If Hussain believes his art of uncivilized portrait of GODDESS has some message or meaning, why has he not come out and explained it. Just by using parallels of other great artist one can never get away from his nonsense work.

Hussain is not targeted because he is a muslim or old artist, but because he insulted GOD. The intellectual media who tries to protect him saying he is old man and is targeted since he is minority (read muslim) should be ashamed. For I can assure, had the artist been HARICHAND or HIRALAL, the agitation would have been much stronger. The media is to understand, when a mother is insulted you don’t go out to check the nationality or religion of the culprit.

The media comes out with the idea of freedom of expression/ freedom of thoughts / freedom of art, this is just hogwash. Will any of the intellectual allow any of their loved one to be painted NUDE and will they applaud the painting as art (without taking consent of the concerned person).

Right always comes with responsibility, and without responsibility it is abuse of the power and right. Hussain in his capacity painted what he thought, but it was no more than an insult leave aside calling it a art. If he has message or idea behind this painting, which I guess would be as dirty as the person is he, but still let him convey what he wanted to say through the painting.

An artist has to be a good human first, if he insulted the feeling of GOD, and not the myths on blind faith traditions. At this point I would also add that the manner of protest against him was wrong, violent protest is by no means a civilized way. The culprit protestors should be punished, but first Hussain has to be brought back and tried and if possible be given a sentence.

The media is stooped and hypocritical to the core, while if foreign advertisers use the GOD and GODDESS figure on the product or even use GANHIJI as tool of promotion is considered as insult by media. At times they also show GOD in uncivilized manner on shoes or holding cigarettes. Why don’t they give discount to creative advertisers that freedom of expression? Or do media believe that only Indians should insult India Or is it like only pseudo great artist people get the license to insult India.
Disclaimer – I oppose vehemently advertiser playing with religious feeling of any human being.

I am just afraid, these pseudo intellectuals will soon start advocating for PORN as form of expression and art. And if GODESS are to be painted nude, then y der is hue and cry over morphed nudity of celebrity, Hussain didnt took the permission of GOD to paint them nude so does these cyber criminals will not take permission and paint any 1 nude and circulate in name of art. I am not at all advocating this kind of acts, but just making media and pseudo intellectuals what an abuse of "FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION can lead to

A monkey face of Micelle Obama is racism, a rant against Shilpa Shetty is racism but the belief in GOD to painted NUDE is art .... WTF, media when will you be using your mind
Certain political party is up in hands to bring back hussain and are advocating freedom of art, my question will they allow Hussain to paint their party leader in uncivilized manner and frame it in every party office? They can’t take a word against their party leader and goes on crying foul, but an insult to GOD of million believers is just an art.

If Freedom of expression is advocated sooo much; then anti-social people giving out hate speeches will also use this right to advocate their notions. The Babri Masjid demolition is crime; it can also be advocated freedom of expression and thought. Can media understand the fallout of their narrow mind and narrow thinking to grab TRP by supporting wrong cause.

I would say get real man! Understand the fine line between progressive thinking and an insult. Everyone has freedom of thought and expression but kindly use it wisely, Its not to please millions and masses, but if your thoughts are revolutionary get up and explain, just by being an artist and you insult and think of getting away is nonsense. I do agree, we should get back Hussain to kick his a$$. A example for other people to understand, that while we salute path breaking thoughts of Taslima we can kick a$$ of person insulting our motherRising Gladiatorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06960414887887382274noreply@blogger.com21tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7078978919723737706.post-17798306741475743572010-01-22T00:17:00.002+05:302010-01-22T00:29:20.837+05:30IPL snub ... is it really a SNUBAfter reading to reactions from Pakistan and few Indian ex-players and Media, I just wonder, Is this event of leaving paki players, so imp to create such a hooplah

I guess, people of both the countries are over emotional. This ISSUE is blown out of proportion more so by media and politicians for their own GAINS.

1. ONLY 1 Australian was purchased in IPL, even India has tension with OZ on topic of Attacks on India... But u never saw any OZ minister coming out and shouting of discrimination.

2. IPL is more of a business than a cricket; wat the owner will look is will they get full service of a particular player for the price he is been paid.
Again If Pakistan government wants their players to come, will they guarantee no nonsense during IPL and that their players would be available to India for entire season, and If not are they ready to reimburse the loses

3. Terrorist and Few Political out fits are raring to disrupt the smoothness of IPL if paki and OZ players were to b included; Instead Pakistani players are guaranteed safety from emotional violence which could have occurred due to inaction of their government
If Pakistan government is so desperate to send their players, then security of their player should b their head ache; CUZ we don't want; if they r desperate to come, look after for your own self.
Pakistani government want Indian money, Indian security and guarantee, but complete inaction toward sentiments of India

4. The people who are saying Politics and Sports is not to be mixed, can they answer why was South Africa banned for 17 years?? (It was cuz of their racism POLICY) and Why was Zimbabwe recently stripped off, why many countries decided against going to Zimbabwe in 2007-2009, it was purely protest against Dictatorship.
So y b hypocrite in justifying the BAN of South Africa and Going GAGA over BUSINESS decision of IPL owners.

5. Lastly no players are representing their country in IPL, they r representing only India. So nothing is against any country. It is to b cautious and safe then to risk life of foreign players (read pakistani and OZ)Rising Gladiatorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06960414887887382274noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7078978919723737706.post-86880852824684625792009-11-20T11:35:00.000+05:302013-01-05T01:17:03.774+05:30Spirit of MumBAI ~ itz juss isn’t der.

With 26 / 11 nearing, we hear all sorta news channels coming out with slogan “MumBAI is Back ~ Spirit of Mumbai Never dies”. I say what the heck, what was done post 26 / 11, was just a survival necessity and nothing do with the spirit.

If one is slapped and still keeps his face smiling is not what we call spirit. The need is to give it back or at the least avoid further slap.

I just experienced the BAD spirit of MumBAI and to be honest I unwantedly became part of this looser spirit.

A victim of rash driving was left there to die not only by the driver but even by the by-standers. Not being pompous or bragging, but I wanted to help and I even tried to. I asked my cabbie driver to turn the vehicle and take the victim to hospital on my guarantee and I was willing to face police procedures, the driver just speeded the vehicle and I was pushed out of the site also the people around the site started walking fast. Well I could have stopped and get down the cab to help; but as said I was also grouped in those impotent spirited individuals. Some where down in me the fear of facing problem alone took high grade on my willing to help. Point remains even I didn’t do anything and remained stupidly heartless and worthless Mumbaikar. Only take away , after 30 minutes when i mustered courage to revisit the site, in another cab, the
victim was not there, I m in hope he was taken to hospital and is
alive. but point remains, I was useless then

If to vote only 43% after 26 / 11 is the spirit of Mumbai then I don’t want to b part of this spirit. To turn away from the dying person and then behaving as nothing has happened, if this is the spirit of Mumbai, then I am ashamed not only of being MumbaiKAR but I am ashamed of myself as well as given the opportunity I joined the crowd of impotents and shouting the slogan “Spirit of Mumbai Never dies even if a Mumbaikar dies”

The great election drama, where apart from development and well being of society everything is discussed, right from giving hugs and kisses to fellow female contestant, to abusing particular community to propagate against English language, to call upon bollywood celebrity, who even lacks common general knowledge and all sort of antiques to get votes are in trend. Why can’t these so called highly intelligent politicians don’t understand we are not interested in this, what we want is development, security and sustained freedom for country. And, this is the reason many of my fellow voters are moving away from polling booth to Bollywood movie theatre or mini vacations. The essence of voting and importance of voting is just missing the bus by these politicians. In their illusion that politics is won by playing vote bank politics, development is thrown into the throes of anonymity, which, in fact is of prime importance for country’s youth. And hence “NO VOTING” is new mantra of young generation.

“NO VOTING”, is this new mantra, a solution to hard and serious question “Why should we vote?” along with “To whom to vote and for what?” these are real serious question asked by young voters to political fraternity across the board. Why should I vote for some who possessed ammunitions in disguise of protecting family, and that to sourcing guns from India’s top most wanted hardcore criminal. Should we vote for him only because of his two hit Hindi masala movies OR should we vote for some one who is against computers and English as a language OR those candidates who spread lies and distributes money to poor voters OR to a government who in disguise of secularism is winning elections and alliance on vote bank politics and dividing society OR some one who is so myopic in his vision to separate the community in process of branding oneself as protector of a particular community.
We have politicians disclosing their assets which run in crore, but their constituency or state is lagging behind development. We also have our railway minister, in role of a new Management guru who is said to have changed Indian railway system in matter of five years, but shouldn’t we go back and ask him that why in spite of his rule in his state for over one and half decade, the state is one of the worst progressed state, why state has not progressed despite having such a charismatic leader, that is if he is, or is it like he is not interested in development of his own state. Nearly 20% of candidates willing to represent us have criminal records and again all parties are equal in hiring criminals for elections.
What is seen today in politics is only mud slinging on each other, trying to prove that one party is less corrupt and inefficient than other, in a nutshell what is coming straight on face is, that every one is corrupt just that ratings are varying. So why should we vote for these politicians, when they are not concerned with my state / country’s development, they are not fit to represent me and also it is easier said than done to participate in political system and importantly what difference will 1 vote make when the system in itself is corrupt. Its like Hindi quote “mein is paapi ko saath nahi dena chahta, kyuki mein is paap ka bhagidaar nahi banna chahta”.

But even than my question still remains that despite all the above accusations and explanations, is the solution devised of “NO VOTING” a suitable and progressive one. Well to me “Avoiding is never a solution to any problem” and again by deciding not to vote we are actually voting for the same corrupt politician to get re-elected, whom we hate for his crimes and selfish and narrow attitude. Well I would just like to say, “VOTE”, and vote not just for the change but also to initiate the process of change. When the voting percentage will increase, it will also increase the vigil and so the accountability of the politician. To make the matter simple, lets take a scenario of one hypothetical constituency, where voting percentage is very low, the candidates conducts a political arithmetic, and he finds that educated people are not going to vote, so why to flatter this class with development or any positives, as nothing matters to them and on the other hand he can buy out few percentage of vote by distributing money, liquor and sarees. Hence the politician is only interested in making money by hook or crook to distribute among poor to collect votes and will not look after development at all, as development may drive away his vote bank and also create hurdle in his money making business.
When every one gives vote the vigil increases and politician is accountable to more people and also he cannot purchase all the votes hence he has to give back to society by way of development work to get re-elected.
It is completely agreed that by voting this time it is difficult to change the system or get the development in process, but to initiate the development, just vote even if it means to select a lesser criminal of the options but choose one and vote. Yes, we should vote the best and honest person but if there are no honest candidates as an option, then we should go for politician with lesser criminal record as only by increased voting we can fit the fear of incumbency in politician for future election and he will have to start working or else another politician will get chance.
It’s only in our hand to clean our present mess for beautiful future. As said “Always fight for yourself, as no one will fight for you” and that includes even your so called political representative. We have to stop being afraid and also refrain from passing the responsibility of choosing future for ourselves and our future generations. It looks so very easy to comment on a stupid politician’s speech or act, it becomes a talk over tea and debate session in office, but then what are WE doing apart from debate, are we putting these debates in practice by stopping that particular candidate to get re-elected? We plan out time to buy beers and sports lounge tickets in advance as voting day is dry day and holiday so that we can enjoy this holiday, however important day it is. We plan out vacations and watch cricket matches instead of selecting some one to govern us. Also because it is difficult for every one of us to get into system of politics, So VOTE TO INITIATE THE CHANGE, IF CHANGE is not seen right away.
What we are voting is not just for a candidate of constituency but we are voting for “HOPE”, a hope that if not today our tomorrow will be better and with more satisfying feeling that I had a part / role to play in deciding what is right for my country. GUESS WHAT, THIS SATISFACTORY FEELING OF AN ATTEMPT TO SAVE OUR COUNTRY CAN BE AVAILED EVEN BY YOU AT A SMALL PRICE OF JUST ONE VOTE IN EVERY ELECTION WITH NO ADDITIONAL OR HIDDEN COST.

I can recollect a simple nursery story, which tells that a mouse ran over the body of sleeping lion. Well to me the moral of the story is “EVEN a mouse can harass and run over an unaware and sleeping lion”. So even if voters are the most important in democracy but if they are sleeping, these crooks can take us for a big ride.

Lastly want to mention the importance of one vote
In 1645, One Vote gave Oliver Cromwell control of England
In 1648, One Vote decided the execution of Charles I
In 1776, One Vote gave America English instead of German as a language
In 1868, One Vote saved Andrew Jackson form Impeachment
In 1923, One Vote made Hitler the leader of Nazi Party
In 1998, Vajpayee Govt. was defeated by One Vote

Moral...every vote counts. Go out and Vote

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 341px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlnPMi4L435hiqtmsV7omzGPTSDCzl_fvIizHi8qm4mxcLarOa4hG0X1mwy762uE8o03VEPfASEAwykRTqvIssiUzSFm9Bax3qTLCa5hL4Rnn5v95TSZrY1pVc3tTLa1mDyveNyMiQ8zBn/s400/10April09Electionscriminalcandidate.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5328097976345768178" />Rising Gladiatorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06960414887887382274noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7078978919723737706.post-43956596762041896132008-12-25T17:28:00.000+05:302008-12-26T11:26:23.663+05:30Root Cause Analysis and Sound Judicial System ~ Answer to counter the failure against terrorDefinition: Root cause analysis (RCA) is a successful problem solving method aimed at identifying the root causes of problems or events. THE PRACTICE OF RCA IS PREDICATED ON THE BELIEF THAT PROBLEMS ARE BEST SOLVED BY ATTEMPTING TO CORRECT OR ELIMINATE ROOT CAUSES, AS OPPOSED TO MERELY ADDRESSING THE IMMEDIATELY OBVIOUS SYMPTOMS. By directing corrective measures at root causes, it is hoped that the likelihood of problem recurrence will be minimized.
In Layman term, it means to get to the core of the problem and fix that particular nut which is noisy rather than blaming or changing the entire machine.
After 26 / 11, we had Mr. P Chidambaram, new Home minister, coming out and acknowledging the lapses in security. He at least did it unlike Mr. Shivraj who is competent only in his fashion sense. But this leads to a new question. Where this self acknowledgment is leading us to?? And should the matter be considered over at only acknowledging things??
Well to accept the failure is the first and most important step to ensure winning in the future; but provided acceptance is taken just to be a step to move forward and not the means to cover up the present lapses from punitive action. Acknowledging failure should actually initiate the introspection and way to find out the present loop holes resulting in our loss.
Post 26 / 11, what we are seeing on political ground is buck passing (in disguise) and acknowledgment of failure despite of having information in bits and pieces scattered in different departments. IT IS SAID, IT WAS A SYSTEM FAILURE, BUT WHAT IS SYSTEM MADE OF, PEOPLE HOLDING THE POSITION, SYSTEM BY IN ITSELF CANNOT THINK AND ACT, BUT PEOPLE IN IT CAN. SO MORE THAN SYSTEM FAILURE, IT IS A FAILURE OF THE PEOPLE WHO WERE IN CHARGE.
Should we not micro manage things now?? As it is rightly said, if micro things are managed properly, macro stuff will be taken care of by its own.
In my view, system is a problem but more big and grave problem is less of proactive officials who are just part of system rather than doing their main job of securing people.
To start with, there were news floating around and even leaders have accepted that there was information about the ‘water route’ as medium of transport and chances of attacks on hotels in Mumbai. And what did we do?? Well …. Well …. Well …. Let’s not just answer “system failure” and end the topic.
If information was available to police or for that matter to ministry or intelligence who ever the recipient is, what did they do with the information? Again we should not blame police or ministry as a whole, but that particular officer who had that information, he should be interrogated. If he had passed on this information to his senior / deciding authority than what did the senior do? We should conduct this check until and unless we find that particular officer, who has not processed this information in yielding manner, AS THAT IS THE FOCAL POINT OF OUR FAILURE. Also, lame excuse of no proper system or infrastructure should not be listened, because we cannot have reactive forces safeguarding us. For if a Intelligence person had this information of terror attack and just because he don’t have authority to act gives him no right to sit quietly on the terror information, he has to be proactive and knock the doors in every possible way, and even after that if he is not successful than the higher authority who was instrumental in not hearing him or taking action should be charged for negligence. We also have news hungry media so official can take help and get the news to the right authority by whatever means, Bottom line is WE NEED PROACTIVE OFFICIALS WHO HAVE THE CAPACITY TO CHALLENGE THE IMPROPER SYSTEM AND SUBSEQUENTLY CHANGE AND MAKE IT A ROBUST SYSTEM, RATHER THAN JUST BEING A SMALL PART OF THE SYSTEM AND MOVING THE WAY AGE OLD SYSTEM INFRASTRUCTURE IS MOVING.
Finding root cause of ineffective or inactive nuts in our system infrastructure can help us tightening them. Also once there is a punitive supervision taking place on individual with surety of being charged for his lapses in his work will definitely help in reducing carelessness. Similarly this method can be used effectively in administrating and governing country.
Second important requirement is sound and robust judicial system; for we know even after Supreme Court passing the judgment it is not followed…. Hence action on judgment taken should be taken care of, As again mentioned in my previous blog, " Are we moving in right direction? Now At Last"...for all such cases there should be special court and should have dedicated judges under supervision of Chief Justice of India; Also there should be no place of political party involvement by way of Prime minister or even President. One of the basic requirements is that there should be no mercy petition.
I know and understand that this model attracts too much of doubt and chance bias judgment. Hence I advocate no political pressure; this court is autonomous and free from so called leaders.
Again, the above process is not RCA in totality but a step to solving the problem so as to avert the future loss. But this step is very much required as against the bold statement in fixing the blame or points the problem, what we should now do is to find solution, because we know the problem from past 61 years. Let’s move together as citizen with help of RTI and media to know where the core problem lies and who is the actually responsible for the lapses.Rising Gladiatorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06960414887887382274noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7078978919723737706.post-6476773783180070942008-12-20T09:37:00.002+05:302011-08-22T02:10:13.566+05:30Rulerzzzz Quotessss
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">My thoughts on Life surroundings World and leading life
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
NOW At last …!!!!!Post 26 / 11, Our snail paced politician have actually moved a step as a reaction to the terror attacks, although it is very early, highly optimistic and pre mature to decide whether the step taken is in fact a forward step or a step towards solving the persisting and ever increasing terror / security problem; sleeping politician has moved at last. But doubt still hangs around about the speed, their consistency, intensity and most important ‘their WILL’ to take action with which they geared up to counter terror.
Steps taken: Move to pass New terror law in parliament, praised security guards, political super model (in changing clothes) resigned along with state CM and deputy CM of Maharashtra, though resignation was not a voluntary act, Opposition supported framing of new law and finally country’s new Home minister took up the responsibility of lapses in intelligence
But do these so called leaders think they are on right path?
Well, although me being an aspiring politician, I beg to differ with this present herd.
My main question is - why these failed and looser politicians are given easy way out of resignation at every event? When we citizens commit a crime, be it even a minor negligence, we are criminally prosecuted and if our negligence is repeated and life threatening in nature, we are even sentenced to jail. So why these junkies, who take responsibility of country in most casual manner, are not been criminally prosecuted for failing in their job repeatedly (in fact repeatedly is also a mild word for their act)? Their resignation is just not the answer or solution to the mess created by them. It is imperative that they should either be force to clean the mess, with accountability or they should be treated as criminal for failing in their job and attracting punitive action. Mr. Shivraj Patil is the worst person in the job of internal security and because of his negligence or inability or whatever, we suffered 23 attacks in 4 years. Although it is rightly said that there is no answer to terrorism and no government has foolproof plan against terror, but failure on 23 occasions isn’t it way too casual and insensitive attitude towards country citizens, by just having his resignation what are we achieving? Yes incapable idiot is out of his job, but what about the loss he has already made? H would still be having security from NSG commandos. I again ask WHY? WHY? WHY he is let off so easily? I am of the opinion that our former home minister should be convicted, charged and even hanged, as according to our constitution we have a provision to prosecute a person, who have harmed / killed person even if the act is not intentional. Mr. Shivraj has killed thousands and made country loose crore of rupees, made environment such that FII’s are driven away from the country by his sheer incompetence, so why this &%#$*** is not charged and scattered into pieces. He should be hanged even before Afzal guru (convict for masterminding parliament attack), as Afzal is not directly instrumental in civilian casualty in last 7 years after he is sentenced to jail, as against Shivraj, who has broken all records of killing people when actually he was holding position to save and secure Indian citizens. Similar treatment should be given to all the other politician under whose regime there were terror attacks, they could be given benefit of doubt in maximum 1 – 2 attacks, but even after that if there is no sign of improvement, politicians should be charged for lapses in work resulting into mass life threatening danger, and there should be special courts with no mercy petition.

I guess this should be the first step towards positive beginning in tackling terror. Accountability backed by punitive action is the solution for having responsible and citizen fearing government.Rising Gladiatorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06960414887887382274noreply@blogger.com2
